Decision EV
Decision EV estimates what one play is worth, measured in betting units, if the same situation happened many times.
For example, -0.54 units is better than -0.58 units because it loses less over time. A positive number means the play is expected to earn money on average.
The best blackjack decision is the available action with the highest EV. HannCount currently displays educational estimates rather than a full casino-grade combinatorial calculation.
Count Mode
Count Mode determines how the count used for betting recommendations and count-based playing decisions is calculated.
Hann (Normalized): Running Count divided by the original number of decks in the game. This keeps the count normalized to the starting shoe size.
Traditional (True Count): Running Count divided by the estimated decks remaining. This is the traditional true count used by most card-counting systems.
